Creamy Rice Pudding

4 cups milk
1 egg, well beaten
1 pkg vanilla flavor pudding and pie filling (NOT instant)
1 cup Minute® White Rice, uncooked
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg


  • In a medium saucepan combine milk, egg and pudding mix.
  • Add rice and raisins. Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Pour into serving bowl.
  • HELPFUL HINTS: Serve warm or cold sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg. For creamier pudding, place plastic wrap on surface while cooling. Chill about 1 hour; stir.
