15 Minute Creamy Rice Skillet with Ham and Peas

About 15 minutes to weeknight comfort food.  Just sauté onions, simmer ham, peas and stir in rice and let stand for minutes.   MMMmmmmm ...

Makes 4 Servings


4 Tbsps butter or margarine
1 cup onion, chopped
2 cups milk
1 cup ham, chopped
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 cups Minute® White Rice, uncooked
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


  • Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir until tender.
  • Add milk, ham, peas and bouillon; stir. Bring to boil.
  • Stir in rice and Parmesan cheese; cover. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
  • Substitute 1 cup of your favorite frozen vegetable, thawed, for the peas.
