Cheesy Ham and Rice Bake

Quick and easy comfort food dish ... make it with smoked ham or grilled chicken.

Makes 4 (1-3/4 cups each) Servings


2 cups Minute® White Rice, uncooked
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 cups milk
1/4 cup salad dressing
1 pkg (6 oz.) smoked ham, chopped
2 cups frozen peas
1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese


  • Preheat oven to 425ºF.
  • Mix rice, soup, milk, dressing, ham and peas in 2-quart baking dish; cover with foil.
  • Bake 20 minutes; uncover. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes or until rice is tender and cheese is melted.
  • Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
  • Substitute: Prepare as directed, substituting 1 pkg. (6 oz.) Grilled Chicken Breast Strips for the ham. Or, omit the meat for a meatless option.
