Hot Taco Rice

Leave the fork alone and use tortilla chips to enjoy this tasty recipe.  It's easy to prepare in about 20 minutes.  Hmmm, maybe even use this recipe as a filler for hard shell tacos?

1 1/2 cups Minute® White Rice, uncooked
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups salsa
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 chicken bouillon cube


  • Prepare rice according to package directions.
  • Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet. When meat is cooked, add salsa, tomato sauce and bouillon cube. Bring to a full boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Serve beef mixture over rice and top with garnishes, if desired.
  • Try these delicious ideas for garnishes: chopped fresh tomatoes, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced pitted ripe black olives.
