Chili and Rice Dinner

non-stick cooking spray
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can (15 1/2 oz.) kidney beans, drained
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 cups water
1 pkg (1.25 oz.) dry chili seasoning mix
2 cups Minute® White Rice, uncooked


  • SPRAY large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Add meat and brown over medium heat; drain off excess fat.
  • ADD beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and seasoning mix; stir. Bring to a boil.
  • STIR in rice; cover. Reduce heat to low; cook 5 minutes. Stir before serving.
  • * Or, substitute ground turkey.

    ** Or, substitute 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  • Tip: Prepare with chicken or omit meat for a meatless dish.
